Word
Knows how to install different supplies/sources to use in the Microsoft Word and in other softwares which use the same resource.
This method can be used to include new supplies/sources to customize your documents in Microsoft Word.
This method was performed in Windows 7 with Microsoft Word 2007, but however, in other versions it can change some step-by-step sequency.
- First, we are going to access a website which provides customized supplies/sources. I`m using the website http://www.netfontes.com.br/ as reference.
- In the upper left corner has the search for a supply/source and in this example I´m going to the search the band ACDC`S source/supply. Type ACDC and click on <search>.
- In the left corner it will have a button “download source/supply”. Click once with the mouse`s left button do download it.
- After doing that, go to the download`s origin that is normally in “C:\Usuários\<Seu Usuário>\Downloads”. Then click with the mouse`s right button in the downloaded file, which in this case its called “squealer.zip” and click on “Extract to squealer\” se utilizar o WinRar para extrair a fonte para uma pasta.
- Now open the folder, click twice with the mouse`s left button in “squealer”and copy all the files with .TFF extension. Then select the files by clicking in the first one, hold the key <CTRL>, click in the second file and press <CTRL>+<C>.
- In case it doesn`t appear the extension, press the key <ALT> and click on “Tools>Folder`s options”, go to the tab “Display Mode”and take off the selection “hide the extensions of file`s type”by clicking once with the mouse`s left button and click on “ok”. Now verify and perform the step 5 procedure.
- Now we are going to install the supplies/sources. Press the key <Windows>+<E>, click twice on “C:\” na enter in the folder “Windows/Fonts”, the way is going to be “C:\Windows\Fonts”.
- Done. Now open the Microsoft Word, search the supply/source “Squealer” and test the new installed supply/source.
The name we have to search in the supplies/sources it will always be the name of the .TFF file, and if you do a work with a customized source/supply, remember saving this source/supply to use it in another Microsoft Word, because if you open the file and you don`t have this new supply/source, the Word will apply a standard source in the text.
